Stradbroke Island…..

I love to travel and photograph beautiful landscapes. Although I have also taken some pretty good photos at the end of my street too. Night scapes and water photography are my two all time favourite types of photography, I love the idea of turning night into day and the mystical look of the water. I am really drawn to water, it gives me a sense of peace and serenity. I have always loved bright colours and particularly like to try and put a lot of colour into my landscapes and I love to photograph colourful sunsets too.

Here are some photos from a Bluedog weekend at Stradbroke Island, all of these photos except for the sunset one were taken at about 8 o’clock at night.  I was really excited when I realised how much I like these photos, I was so proud of myself for capturing such beautiful images! Before this weekend, night-time or long exposure photography had always been a bit of a mystery to me, it never quite worked out and if it did it was a bit of an accident. Fortunately I was with a great bunch of people on this weekend and after the second night it all suddenly dawned on me and this is what I came up with!
